ABOUT CYBER DEFENSE
The Cyber Defense venue is a great way for students interested in programming and/or cybersecurity to get their feet wet. Students will learn cyber defense concepts that will become useful in the cyber defense competition during IT-Olympics.
ISERINK (pronounced ‘ice rink’)
Physical access to hardware and operating systems for the students to practice cybersecurity is difficult for schools to obtain. To solve this problem, we have created a “playground,” called ISERink, that is available to the students enrolled in their IT-A Club in the fall of the school year. This allows uniform access to equipment. Each IT-A Club has remote access to a network where they can experiment, build operating systems and install network services. Students spend the year remotely working in their assigned network space.

Students in the Cyber Defense venue can apply their new cybersecurity knowledge and programming skills here in our online tool, ISERink. This is a safe online space for students to use their cyber defense knowledge and experiment.
