Content Areas for 2010-2011

Three information technology content areas are available for the 2010-2011 academic year:

• cyber security / cyber defense,
• robotics,
• game design.

No previous knowledge of IT in any of the content areas is assumed for the IT-Clubs. Instructional materials are provided in all content areas for students starting with the most basic information and moving into more complex concepts and problems.

Additionally, we are working with the Technology Association of Iowa to match each IT-Club with an IT professional in their local area to help guide the students' exploration with hardware and software, as well as just be available for questions and discussions about IT.

We also are working with your local community colleges to provide mentorship if we can't find an IT professional in your area.
